mAPPamondo consolare: Your Consular Companion
mAPPamondo consolare is an Android application developed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to enhance the knowledge of services offered by Italian Consulates to Italian citizens abroad.
The main objective of the app is to facilitate access to consular procedures such as registration with the Registry of Italians Residing Abroad, passport issuance, civil status documents, and assistance in case of emergencies.
With over 50 topics of general interest to Italians abroad, organized into three different categories (Traveling, Studying, and Living), mAPPamondo consolare provides detailed information on what to do in case of need, such as lost passports or medical assistance. Users can organize these topics into a personalized list.
The app offers an interactive map with detailed information on over 200 consular offices, complete with geolocation and office identification. It also provides a direct link to FAST-IT, the web portal for consular services offered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
mAPPamondo consolare further includes hundreds of useful links and references for Italians abroad, covering areas such as employment, schools/universities, healthcare facilities, and associations.
